Remember how I said no news is good news?

Well I have news.

I just got a call from my boss. Turns out the entire chain I work for is shutting down. The store I work in is going into liquidation and will probably be open for another four weeks. I still have about a week til’ I fly back. This sucks.

But to tell the truth, in its own perverse way this almost works to my advantage. For one, my boss has straight up said that from this point, anyone can have as many hours as they want til’ we close. This means when I get back I can cherry pick mid-shifts so I don’t exhaust myself trying to make rent. It also means that even if my disability doesn’t come through, I can now collect unemployment.

I’m not sure what I’m going to do in the long term.
